The Foundation’s most significant gift to date was made by self-made millionaire, Jimi Heselden, whose amazing generosity has, and continues to, make a remarkable impact in Leeds communities.
From the large scale transformation of the Old Fire Station in Gipton, to the numerous grants given to local community groups through Jimbo’s Fund, Jimi Heselden’s gift has made a lasting legacy in the City and was originally made possible through a referral via a Trusted Advisor.
Our work with solicitors, accountants, wealth managers and financial advisors across the city is an area that many people might not be aware of, but it is increasingly vital to the Foundation’s success in improving the lives, communities and futures in Leeds.
We work with Trusted Advisors to offer their clients a viable charitable option for those wanting to give back. Many clients may already be supporting a number of different charities, but have reached the point where they would like to take a more strategic approach, or to consider charities and activities closer to home.
We at Leeds Community Foundation are experts in local charitable giving, community needs, and finding or creating effective solutions that have the greatest impact.
That is why working alongside Trusted Advisors is a crucial part of what we do, marrying our expertise with yours, to provide a fully inclusive service to clients.
What do we offer?
We offer a range of different giving options for your clients:
We also offer bespoke events for our Trusted Advisor network and those interested in being involved. Our next event, Enhancing your Client Relationships, will take place at Addleshaw Goddard in December and offers the chance to hear about one of our latest relationships with a Trusted Advisor and how their client is enjoying the prospect of working with the Foundation by setting up a Named Fund.
We would be really pleased to hear from you about helping your clients with their philanthropy. If you are interested, please get in touch with us with any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 0113 242 2426.
