One of the biggest events in the northern culinary calendar, the awards are designed to champion and showcase the best of the region’s food and drink industry, including local producers and suppliers, small farming businesses, chefs, restaurants, pubs and hotels.
Nominated by Yorkshire Life readers, establishments can be put forward for a range of award categories. From the Outstanding Customer Service Award to the Food and Drink Hero of the Year category, these awards recognise the use of regionally sourced produce, imaginative dishes, food quality and presentation, service, decor and ambience.
With a focus placed on local producers and businesses, we are proud that LCF and The Leeds Fund have been chosen as the event’s charity partner.
Managed by LCF, The Leeds Fund accepts contributions from individuals and companies wanting to support the city in which they live and work, and distributes a range of smaller Micro Grants and larger Strategic Grants to support new and emerging community activity across the city.
Since it was launched in 2016, the Fund has distributed over £600,000 to support a variety of local issues and build on the Foundation’s vision of creating a city of opportunity for all.
Launched in the May issue of Yorkshire Life, nominations can be made via foodawards.yorkshirelife.co.uk, with the awards ceremony taking place on 17 September 2018 at at Rudding Park.
