In June 2016 the Foundation launched a brand new initiative for the city – The Leeds Fund. This encapsulates our values and vision of creating a city of opportunity for all and will distribute small and large grants to reach communities across Leeds. By 2020 The Leeds Fund, aims to raise a minimum of £500,000 each year which will be distributed through three levels of funding – Strategic Grants, #GiveLoveLeeds Grants and Micro Grants.
Each of the grant schemes will be open for applications at different points throughout the year. Check our Open Grants Programme page or the links below for information on how and when to apply.
Provide large grants of up to £25,000 to community groups working to improve the social networks of disadvantaged communities and individuals through activities such as peer support, volunteering, skill sharing and through partnership work with locally based organisations, including those not usually seen as working in mental health arena.
Provide mid-level grants of £500 -£2,500 that will provide tangible outcomes working towards skills enhancement, social inclusion or better neighbours in Leeds inner city wards.
Launching in 2017, these small grants of under £500 will support individuals who are social entrepreneurs/community activists or groups with a turnover of under £5,000 looking to develop and/or implement ideas that benefit Leeds residents.
