In January 2017, Leeds Community Foundation was able to announce a new £50,000 Fund aimed at start-up social enterprises or established social enterprises with a new venture. The enterprise must be located in and delivering benefits to residents of the Leeds or Bradford Metropolitan Districts. We will accept applications from organisations located outside these areas providing the services support Leeds or Bradford Metropolitan Districts residents.
We are seeking to fund one or two enterprises and will prioritise applications benefiting vulnerable client groups and clearly demonstrating how the funding will kick start a new project with an innovative and entrepreneurial approach to service delivery and growth. The fund has a strong interest in supporting projects working with: children/young people and adults at risk of grooming, domestic violence or trafficking; refugees; and older people.
Leeds and Bradford Metropolitan Districts.
This programme may change but previously organisations could apply for up to £50,000. You do not have to apply for the full amount. Please do be aware that this is a very competitive fund.
This fund is currently closed to applications. Previous rounds have involved an Expression of Interest form followed by providing further information and a potential face-to-face presentation to the funder.
Before starting your application, please make sure you have read the fund criteria. This will be available here when the fund reopens, along with the online Expression of Interest form.
