Many individuals, families, businesses, charities and community projects were affected by the devastation caused by the Boxing Day floods. Some had to leave their homes and belongings, others lost valuable equipment and goods.
Since December 2015, the Foundation has been able to distribute £150,000 in grants to individuals, charities and community projects in Leeds and Bradford that were directly affected, although we are unfortunately not able to support private businesses. If you were directly affected but have not yet made a claim, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
We are now moving into the second phase of the programme which is funding projects that are helping with the longer-term clean-up activities and to support flood resilience initiatives as long as they have wider community benefit. This might be to support the work of flood groups, environmental charities, voluntary organisations/charities/social enterprises. We are not able to support flood resilience work on individual homes. If you fit any of the above criteria, please email email@example.com with some outline details or call Jess Helyer on 0113 242 2426.
