Leeds Community Foundation (LCF) is very proud to have worked with the NHS Leeds Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) Partnership on this Third Sector Health Grant programme. Not only has it grown the capacity of the Third Sector, it has also enabled LCF to demonstrate the important impact Third Sector groups have on the health of local people and communities in Leeds.
In total, over £2m was made available as grant funding to Third Sector Organisations (TSOs) in Leeds in 2015-18, enabling them to run innovative projects in support of local health and wellbeing priorities.
The Executive Summary Report above was produced in partnership with Real-Improvement. The results presented derive from the 63 projects run by 50 different TSOs in the NHS Leeds South & East CCG and NHS Leeds North CCG areas from the first two rounds of funding. 14 further projects received funding in round three from Leeds North CCG; these projects are still running, so their results are not included in this report. Please see below for the annex to the report which features the posters produced by the Third Sector Health Grantees, showing their learning and outcomes from their projects.
While LCF is realistic about the significant challenges that lie ahead, Leeds does have a vibrant and proactive Third Sector which needs to be both recognised and resourced in order to maximise the impact it can have on the health and wellbeing of local residents. We look to build on this legacy and continue this important journey, and would welcome your support along the way.
This work was showcased at our Third Sector Outcomes Event on 8th December 2017, click here for the speaker presentations. A short video of the event will follow shortly.
