Do you work or volunteer with an LGBTQ+ Community Organisation? Would you like support to make it easier to access grant funding?
Leeds Community Foundation is focused on creating a fair and inclusive society. We aim to be an equitable and inclusive grant maker that works alongside communities to address inequalities and create opportunities. We recognise that some communities may face additional barriers and we’re therefore seeking to develop our understanding of how we can more widely enable and support Community Organisations and informal groups that wish to access grant funding.
As part of this process we are, with the support of Hamilton Consulting, undertaking a consultation and engagement project. This is the first phase of a capacity building and support programme for local LGBTQ+ communities. The second phase, in the first half of 2023, will use the information from this project to put in place support that responds to the needs identified.
As an organisation or informal group working with LGBTQ+ communities, we are seeking your support in this process. The following survey seeks to gain insights about your experiences of accessing grant funding in Yorkshire. This will include the barriers and challenges, as well as support needs.
Your help in contributing to this project is greatly appreciated and will help Leeds Community Foundation to ensure the various segments of LGBTQ+ communities in Yorkshire get the support they need to have fair and equitable access to grant funding.
The survey should take no more than 15 minutes to complete. The survey closes on Monday 9th January.

Leeds Community Foundation is seeking to develop its understanding of how it can more widely enable and support community organisations and informal groups who wish to access grant funding. As part of this process it is, with the support of Hamilton Consulting, undertaking a consultation and engagement project as the first phase of a capacity building and support programme with a particular focus on all segments of LGBTQ+ communities.
As an organisation that funds community groups in Yorkshire we are seeking your support to develop our understanding of what other grant makers in the area have or are doing to address issues of equality in access to funding for LGBTQ+ communities.
This short survey seeks to gain insights into any work you have undertaken to support local LGBTQ+ Community Organisations.
Your help in contributing to this project is greatly appreciated. The resulting knowledge gained by the project will be shared by Leeds Community Foundation to help us all learn and act together in order to be more effective and boost our collective impact on Yorkshire people and places.
