GiveBradford 100 Club celebrates success

Kindly hosted by the University of Bradford and sponsored by Natwest, GiveBradford 100 Club supporters gathered to hear about the success of the Go Higher West Yorkshire grant programme.

£130,000 helped to fund projects based in areas where progression rates into Higher Education are currently low.  The projects will develop young people’s knowledge of the benefits of Higher Education and help them negotiate the challenges of accessing, and succeeding in, college or university life.

Supporters heard from Mark Garratt, Director of External Affairs at the University of Bradford, who talked about good education being a cornerstone of a successful economy, and Julia Lee, Director of Commonsense Initiative, who shared how their Go Higher West Yorkshire Grant had helped young women to explore their Higher Education options and reach their full potential.
