Healthy Holidays 2026

15 July 2026

We’ve invested more than £815,000 in Leeds community organisations to run Healthy Holidays projects over the summer, Christmas and Easter school holidays in 2026-2027.

Healthy Holidays projects provide a wide range of fun activities and nutritious food for children whose families may struggle during the school holidays. From physical activities like football and dance, to creative and life skills, children have the chance to try different things and make new friends.

This year, we awarded 31 community organisations grants to run 38 Healthy Holidays projects across Leeds. A full list of the organisations that were awarded funding can be found at the bottom of this page.

Now in its 9th year, Healthy Holidays meets the needs of families in our communities, when budgets are stretched, and many people are finding it hard to make ends meet. Since the programme began, we’ve invested more than £7m to support children and families in Leeds.

We look forward to sharing more about the impact that Healthy Holidays has on children and families across Leeds throughout 2026-2027.

This year’s Healthy Holidays programme is delivered in partnership with Leeds City Council, as part of the Department for Education’s Holiday Activities and Food programme.

The organisations that were awarded funding are:

  • BEAT – Belonging Empowering & Thriving
  • Complete Woman CIC
