Leeds Community Foundation achieves national quality accreditation

20 May 2025

We’re pleased to share that Leeds Community Foundation has once again achieved UKCF Quality Accreditation. The accreditation recognises our robust governance and sound practice.

The Quality Accreditation programme, introduced by UK Community Foundations (UKCF) in 2007, ensures a minimum standard across community foundations. It is the only accreditation process internationally that’s tailored to and designed by community foundations.

Through the process this year, the 6th of its kind, the Foundation has been assessed on various areas. These are governance, finance and investment management, operations, philanthropy, grant making and stakeholder engagement.

Achieving Quality Accreditation endorses our ability to manage trusts and philanthropic funds, and deliver strategic grants programmes to effectively support our communities.

Leeds Community Foundation Chief Executive, Steph Taylor, said:

“We’re proud to retain our national Quality Accreditation which recognises the Foundation’s excellent practice. Our staff and trustees work tirelessly to make sure our policies and processes are of a high standard and facilitate impactful giving and work in our communities. We’re especially pleased to be recognised for our Strategic Plan, our donor stewardship, and our approach to diversity, equity and inclusion through our grant making, as well as outreach and communication in this area.”
