Leeds Fund Micro Grants February 2022
1 March 2022
The Leeds Fund: Micro Grants programme funds locally-rooted projects that improve the lives of people in Leeds’ communities. Small grants of up to £500 are awarded to individual people and un-incorporated and un-constituted groups who have great ideas to make a difference in their areas.
The programme aims to nurture activity that is community-led, uses local resources and has a clear community benefit. It focuses on health and wellness, enriching experiences, safe and friendly communities and learning and skill building.
In the latest round in February 2022, 6 grants were made with a total value of £2,800. 5 individuals* were awarded funding alongside Armley’s SHEnanigans Group.
The funded activities include:
-
-
-
- A face-to-face emotional care and bereavement support group.
- Twice-weekly street dance classes for children aged 4 to 12.
- A personal development and wellbeing workshop for students, particularly those from African communities.
