Meet our new chair and trustees

6 January 2026

We’ve appointed 5 new trustees to the Leeds Community Foundation board. They’ll join existing trustees Amjid Hussain, Carl Hawkes, Emily Jones, Hugh Fairclough, Ruth Bromley, Sharon Orr, Will Clarke and chair Dee Reid.

Dee took up the role of chair in December, when Cleveland Henry stepped down from the position after 7 years with the Foundation. Dee joined the board in 2020, and has served as deputy chair since 2023.

On becoming chair, Dee said “As the chair of Leeds Community Foundation, my focus will be on providing stability, clarity, and support so that we, and therefore the communities we serve, can continue to thrive.”

Joining the board are 5 new trustees with a breadth of experience from the legal, property, technology, marketing and community sectors.

      • Malcolm Lynch is a Partner at Wrigleys Solicitors. He specialises in social purpose and social economy organisations and is an expert in charity law.
      • Paul Morris is Director of St James Securities. He’s a chartered surveyor with strong networks in the public and private sectors and is a trustee for The Dyson Charitable Trust.
      • Rachel McElroy is Marketing Director at Axiologik. She’s held senior roles across a range of sectors and has strong experience in organisational development.
      • Raheem Mohammed is Director of Hamara Healthy Living Centre. He has experience in governance, funding and partnership working. He’s also a founding trustee of Orphan Care.
      • Will Parker is founder of WRK Digital. He has experience in technology, digital innovation and organisational culture and development, and a strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

Steph Taylor, Leeds Community Foundation Chief Executive said “We’re so happy to have found 5 new trustees who are so passionate about and committed to what we do at Leeds Community Foundation. They each bring unique skills and expertise that will be valuable as we embark on the second half of our 5-year strategy. I’m looking forward to working closely with them, and with Dee as our new chair, to deliver on our vision of a fairer Leeds for everyone.”
