Amjid is the Social Entrepreneur Support Manager for UnLtd and within his role manages the Solutions for an Ageing Society partners and the Lead the Change programme in partnership with the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation. He has also been involved in community development work in Bradford for almost twenty years and has experience of planning, developing and fundraising.

Carl is Deputy Chair of Trustees for Leeds Community Foundation. He is multi award-winning third sector leader who is passionate about creating opportunities for all. Currently CEO of Yorkshire Sport Foundation, he previously held the role of the Director of Operations at FareShare UK. He is also Associate/Guest Lecturer at Leeds Beckett University, lecturing their Food Nutrition students on the societal benefit of redistributing surplus food, and has been a Board Member at South Yorkshire Eating Disorder Association, a primary school and Sheffield Hallam University. Over the past 7 years, he has led and managed over £65 million worth of grants and has a sound knowledge of local communities and their strengths.

Dee is Chair of Trustees for Leeds Community Foundation. She’s a communications expert with over three decades of experience in PR, brand, stakeholder engagement, crisis communications and reputation management across the private sector, local government, the NHS and higher education.

Dee has held various volunteer roles, including chair of school governors, member of the Europe Council for the Advancement and Support of Education and chair of East Street Arts. She is currently a trustee of Smart Works Leeds.

Emily Jones is a Lead Youth Worker at The Youth Association in Wakefield, working with marginalised and at-risk young people, representing their views and experiences, providing opportunities within their communities, managing challenging behaviour, applying for funding and coordinating big-scale events within communities.  She has volunteering experience as a youth worker at Hunslet, and also at an Army Welfare Service in Germany, when she lived there for a period.  Her degree is in Youth Work and Community Development.

Hugh Fairclough works as Audit Partner at RSM. Having started there as an audit trainee around 16 years ago, he moved from a technically focused role to that of a strategic business advisor, and is now a partial business owner at RSM.  He is also RSM’s Leeds office’s People Partner, supporting the Managing Partner with leading on people needs for a team of 300 colleagues.  This role covers the recruitment and attraction and employer brand activities, as well as involvement in focus groups like diversity and inclusion, faith and CSR groups.

Malcolm qualified as a solicitor in 1983 and has lived and worked in Leeds continuously since 1987. In his day job he advises charities and other social economy organisations. He is particularly interested in encouraging resilient social economy organisations and impactful finance. He was a Chair of Leeds Youth Opera for several years before the start of 2026.

Paul Morris is a highly experienced property professional and Chartered Surveyor with nearly 40 years in the industry. He is a Director at Leeds based property developer St James Securities and has led award-winning urban regeneration projects across the UK. Paul has been a charity trustee for over 17 years and is passionate about community impact, education, equality, and using his expertise to support charitable causes.

A marketing, brand and communications leader in the tech sector, Rachel McElroy brings her lived experience and deep commitment to tackling inequality to her role as a Leeds Community Foundation trustee. She is passionate about supporting organisations that create fairer, more inclusive opportunities for people across the region.

Raheem Mohammad is a qualified Youth Worker and teacher, and currently serves as the Director of Hamara, the largest ethnic minority organisation in West Yorkshire. Passionate about creating positive change for future generations, Raheem brings over 20 years of experience across the education and charity sectors. Under his leadership, Hamara has achieved multiple nationally recognised awards and accolades, reflecting his ambition, innovation, and commitment to driving meaningful impact. As one of the youngest leaders in the sector, Raheem combines vision, strategic insight, and a proven track record of delivering award-winning programmes that transform lives.

Sharon Orr is a Community Affairs Manager at Vanquis Banking Group, a long-standing contributor to communities. Based in Bradford, Sharon has responsibility for community investment both in the district and across the UK and Ireland, including Community Foundation partnerships, giving her a deep understanding of the social inclusion challenges facing communities. She is committed to developing innovative community investment in the corporate sector.

Will Clarke works at the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, leading their policy and programmes on inclusive growth with the aim of helping improve the prosperity of citizens across the UK. Will moved to Northern Ireland after completing his university studies and was a project worker at a homeless hostel in Belfast. He has volunteered at Trussell Trust Basildon Foodbank and HARP homeless charity, and was elected Business Faculty Officer at his Students’ Union. Will has personal experience of disadvantage and is keen to tackle inequalities and strengthen communities in the UK.

Will is Founder of WRK digital, a Leeds-based technology professional services business. With over a decade of leadership experience, Will has a strong track record of building people-first cultures and scaling businesses with purpose. Will brings commercial expertise and a genuine passion for community and creating environments where individuals and organisations can thrive and is excited to join the Leeds Community Foundation board.
