Leeds Men’s Suicide Prevention Grants

We are working in partnership with Public Health at Leeds City Council to fund local Third Sector community initiatives to offer social activities for men determined by local men themselves, and provide outreach work with targeted communities in order to reduce social isolation for men with higher risk of suicide.

Tampon Tax Community Fund

The Tampon Tax Fund allocates funds generated from the VAT on sanitary products to projects that improve the lives of disadvantaged women and girls.

High Sheriff of West Yorkshire Fund

We welcome applications from projects across West Yorkshire which are working with young people to prevent and combat crime to create safer communities.

The Liz and Terry Bramall Foundation Fund 

This is a brand new Fund to support community groups and enterprises to improve the health, wellbeing and life chances of local people in the communities of greatest need.

The Leeds Fund Micro Grant. Children’s Commissioner Takeover Challenge.

Micro grants are available to support social entrepreneurs, community activists or groups with a turnover of under £2,500 looking to develop or implement ideas that benefit Leeds residents.

This month, Leeds Community Foundation will be participating in a Takeover Challenge of the Micro Grant programme. This will provide young people from Leeds with an opportunity to be involved in the assessment process.

As part of the takeover, we are interested in receiving applications that have a focus on youth related projects.

Henry Smith Grants

We are able to offer advice on applications to the Henry Smith Charity but do not accept applications ourselves. Grants are available under two programmes: Improving Lives and Strengthening Communities.

 The programme will invest in activities that seek to alleviate the underlying problems that prevent social inclusion and enjoyment of a full, modern life.

Lunch Club Grants

 These grants are specifically for the running costs of lunch clubs for older people and can support new clubs as well as helping existing ones to continue delivering services.

Due to open November 2018

Time to Shine

Helping Third Sector groups develop ways of reducing loneliness and isolation and strengthen communities benefiting older people.

Round 10 is due to open January 2019

Round 11, the final round, is due to open April 2019
