Our Stories:
Meet Lily

“As soon as I saw the billboard (advertising the dance sessions), I was asking my mum to go. One day, when I finished school she told me I had got a place! I was so excited!

In the half term holiday we had a full day of dancing. First, we had breakfast and then we were split into groups. Some of the groups did outside sports, while one group practiced the dance steps and added more. Then we swopped over.  We had dinner, there was a lot of choice. Fruit, veg, salads, sandwiches and pasta. We even had some treats!  We did a performance to people a few weeks after that.”

“I’m nearly 11 years old. I always wanted to do gymnastics and dancing. We do little dances at school, in the playground, but we make them up. I want people to know that dancing is good because dancing is healthy and you’re keeping your body fit.”
