Meet Stephen from Purple Patch Arts

“I come to Purple Patch every Thursday. I enjoy coming here. I like to see my friends and talk to them. I talk to them about how my day’s been. And we play games together in the break. Today we’re playing Uno. 

I like to get stuck into the different sessions. Sometimes we’ll do some art. At the end of each day we do the cool down. We always sign to a song to finish the session. This year’s song is Praise You.” 

Purple Patch Arts supports learning-disabled people to thrive and to be heard. They create environments where everyone is empowered to express themselves, and to engage with, and understand, themselves, other people and the world around them. They’ve had various grants from Leeds Community Foundation, including a Leeds Digital Inclusion Fund grant to support their lifelong learning programme.
