How have you been involved with Leeds Community Foundation?

Making real world impact is a foundational value to Axiologik, not only through the social value our client projects deliver but being socially conscious of our impact on employees and the local community are key values. Leeds Community Foundation were an obvious and key partner for us as we both care deeply about our role in society. We are looking to extend this partnership beyond supporting the work Leeds Community Foundation do for local communities to offering the Foundation our core expertise to enable delivery against their positive digital change plans.

How important is social value to you?

We specialise in delivering complex digital initiatives, providing impactful solutions that drive positive change.  For us, our work helps drive real-world social impact and that means our social value strategy should be embedded into our core business goals. Our regular employee surveys show how much they value our stance on giving back so it is a key part of engaging our team.

What community issues are important to you?

As a digital delivery leader in Leeds, access and education in technology is particularly important to us. Social mobility and inclusivity to show underrepresented groups that they can have a meaningful career in digital is key for a diverse future workforce. Beyond that we are headquartered in the city so everything we do to support the community around it is important.

Has the pandemic and cost-of-living crisis altered the way you view investment into communities?

Both issues have caused wide ranging social impact so it is even more important that local organisations support their communities to help alleviate that impact. The Pandemic proved how collaboration can make a real difference so we keep that in our mind when we look at what we can support and encourage our team to take their full quota of volunteering time.

What makes Leeds a unique city?

Leeds is a vibrant and diverse city. It has a rich history of growth as a mill town and more recently has emerged as a financial, creative, digital and technology hub. Whilst this brings in investment and talent there are still large areas of social disadvantage, poor health and poverty.
