Tribus uses digital transformation to make a lasting difference for businesses. They embrace the spirit of adventure in harnessing digital, people, creativity and cutting-edge technology to transform the way businesses operate.

We caught up with them about being Members of Leeds Community Foundation, and the various ways they support and invest in local communities.

 

How have you been involved with Leeds Community Foundation?

As well as taking part in Member events to stay up to date with what and who the Foundation is funding and how we can best support, Tribus encourages its employees to take time to volunteer with charities that they are passionate about. Most recently our team completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks and raised over £1700 for Flourishing Families Leeds.

 

How important is social value to you?

Not only do we encourage our employees to take time out of their day to day roles to support charities and local communities through volunteering, but we are also very passionate about delivering projects for our clients that support their social value goals. We have built tools that help organisations not only achieve their sustainability objectives, but also help them measure the impact they have on social value.

 

What community issues are important to you?

Here at Tribus we are also very passionate about supporting young people to develop the skills and knowledge they need to progress throughout school and into their adult life and career. Our teams regularly support schools and universities to mentor young people to develop specialised skills needed for careers in technology.

 

Has the pandemic and cost-of-living crisis altered the way you view investment into communities?

Both the pandemic and cost-of-living crisis have had huge impacts on people’s mental health and well-being. Investing in organisations that support initiatives that support these issues, providing solutions and infrastructure to those most at need is hugely important to us. We also strive to build a resilient team of people within our own organisation and promote positive mental health through flexible working, social activities and well-being initiatives.

 

What makes Leeds a unique city?

Leeds is an incredibly diverse city with lots of investment and development happening. There is a huge amount of opportunity available to people, and with the support from organisations like Leeds Community Foundation, young people can take advantage of everything the city has to offer both from a social and career perspective.

 

Have you got any advice for organisations that are looking to support Leeds Community Foundation?

Do it! By supporting Leeds Community Foundation you are supporting a multitude of charities and organisations that are making positive change for the city. It’s amazing to see the impact that your support and contributions are making and it means a lot to be able to give back to the local community.

Take part in the member activities that are put on by the foundation, you will learn so much about the charities that you are supporting and all the great things that the foundation is doing to support the community.

 

Leeds Community Foundation creates opportunities for all by working with partners to make a positive impact within communities across Leeds and Bradford. We do this by generating and investing philanthropic giving as well as maximising statutory funding to deliver grants and provide trusted expertise into Community Organisations, benefitting thousands of local people.
