Stay Well this Winter Grants 2024

More than £60,000 has been invested in 22 Leeds community organisations thanks to Stay Well this Winter Grants, in partnership with Leeds City Council’s Public Health team. The programme funds community organisations to support people most at risk of becoming unwell over winter.

• • • • Richmond Hill Elderly Action 

• • • • Seacroft Parish – St Richard’s Church 

• • • • SNAPS (Special Needs And Parent Support) Yorkshire CIO 

• • • • The Gambia Welfare Society 

• • • • The Homeless Pastors CIC 

• • • • Trinity Network 

• • • • West Yorkshire Destitute Asylum Network (WYDAN) 

 

The activities that have been funded include: 

• • • • Providing warm clothing and winter essentials 

• • • • Sharing resources, advice and guidance to help people get ready for winter 

• • • • Undertaking home visits, outreach and telephone services to support people in the community 

• • • • Holding events, clubs and sessions where people can connect, stay warm and share food 

 

The Stay Well this Winter Grants programme is now in its 14th year. To date, more than 28,600 local people have been supported through the colder months thanks to the grants.
