The Leeds Digital Inclusion Fund 2024

10 December 2024

9 Leeds Community organisations have each received a share of £73,000 thanks to the latest round of The Leeds Digital Inclusion Fund.

Made possible thanks to funding from Leeds Digital Ball and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, the grants will support organisations to deliver sustainable digital inclusion work. Activities will make sure people have what they need to be active online, now and in the future.

The organisations that were awarded funding are:

        • Unity Does MAATer

The funded activities include:

        • Setting up a digital lab space to provide IT access and support to meet the needs of refugees and asylum seekers.
        • Piloting digital inclusion outreach work in housing complexes, to reach those who are less likely to self-refer for digital inclusion support.
        • Upskilling staff so they can confidently include digital work in the lifelong learning sessions they deliver.
        • Investing in staff time to develop, improve and scale up existing digital inclusion offerings.

Throughout their year-long grants, these organisations will also benefit from support from Leeds City Council’s 100% Digital Leeds team.
