The Leeds Fund Microgrants Autumn 2023
31 January 2024
Almost £10,000 has been invested through the latest round of The Leeds Fund Microgrants. The round supported 5 Leeds Community Organisations, who will deliver a range of activities with their funding.
The Leeds Fund Microgrants supports small and emerging Leeds-based Community Organisations who may not be able to access larger grants programmes. They can use their funding for a variety of activities to support their communities, including one-off projects, expanding existing work or supporting the organisation’s development.
The organisations that were awarded funding in the autumn round are:
-
-
-
- Apna Sports Group
- Firstbase
- Heritage Crew
- Leeds Combined Arts
- re-stART Creative Outreach CIC
-
-
The funded activities include music workshops for young people, professional mentoring and on-the-job training for young people of African and Caribbean descent, and an online art programme for local people suffering from Long Covid.
Since 2017, almost 140 Microgrants have been given out through The Leeds Fund, with several recipients going on to develop their ideas and receive further funding from Leeds Community Foundation.
