The Leeds Fund Strategic Grants 2023

The Leeds Fund Strategic Grants programme supports the resilience of Community Organisations in the city. The Fund offers grants to cover organisations’ core costs and helps leaders to take on strategic development work alongside daily delivery. 

Through the third resilience-focused round of the programme in spring 2023, £420,000 was invested in 14 Community Organisations in Leeds. 

The organisations that were awarded funding are:

      • Getaway Girls 
      • Heads Together Productions/Chapel FM Arts Centre 
      • Jamaica Society Leeds 
      • Kirkstall Valley Development Trust 

• • • • Living Potential Care Farming CIC 
      • LS14 Trust 
      • Mafwa Theatre 
      • Older People’s Action in the Locality (OPAL) 
      • Space2 Leeds 

• • • • Support After Rape and Sexual Violence Leeds (SARSVL) 
      • The Youth Association 

These organisations will receive a programme of specialised support, as well as the experience and learning of those who received grants in the first resilience-focused round of the programme in 2021, and the second in 2022. 

One grant holder said “After fast growth and lots of delivery, the strategic grant has given us the space and time to think, work out what we need to be sustainable and to put things in place for the future”. 

As a result of this funding, we hope that Community Organisations will feel stronger and better able to provide the vital support that they do for communities across Leeds.
