The Leeds Fund Strategic Grants for Resilience 2022

The Leeds Fund Strategic Grants programme supports the resilience of Community Organisations in the city. The Fund offers grants to cover organisations’ core costs and helps leaders to take on strategic development work alongside daily delivery. 

Through the second round of the programme in spring 2022, £540,000 was invested in 18 Community Organisations in Leeds. 

The organisations that were awarded funding are:

      • InterACT Church and Community Partnership 
      • Joanna Leeds The Joanna Project

      • Leeds Community Bakery 
      • Leeds Society for Deaf and Blind People 
      • Leep 1 CIC 
      • Lighthouse West Yorkshire 

• • • • Neighbourhood Elders Team 
      • Oblong 
      • RJC Dance 
      • SNAPS (Special Needs And Parent Support) Yorkshire CIO 
      • Social Business Brokers 

• • • • Sunshine and Smiles – Leeds Down Syndrome Network 

These organisations will receive a programme of specialised support, as well as the experience and learning of those who received grants in the first round of the programme in 2021. 

One grant holder from round 1 said “After fast growth and lots of delivery, the strategic grant has given us the space and time to think, work out what we need to be sustainable and to put things in place for the future”. 

As a result of this funding, we hope that Community Organisations will feel stronger and better able to provide the vital support that they do for communities across Leeds.
