The Leeds Fund Micro Grants Autumn 2022

20 December 2022

The Leeds Fund Micro Grants programme funds locally-rooted projects that improve the lives of people in Leeds’ communities. Small grants are awarded to groups that have great ideas to make a difference in their areas.

The programme aims to nurture activity that is community-led, uses local resources and has a clear community benefit. It focuses on health and wellness, enriching experiences, safe and friendly communities and learning and skill building.

In the latest round in autumn 2022, 2 grants were made with almost £5,000 invested. The organisations that were awarded funding are:

        • Chapeltown Community Netball Club
        • Morley Digital

The funded activities are:

        • Increasing the reach and sustainability of a local netball club which offers fun and engaging fitness and conditioning activities.
        • Setting up Digital Access Points and hybrid services for people to learn and take part in courses for a range of IT topics.

Since 2017, more than 120 Micro Grants have been given out, with a number of recipients going on to develop their project ideas and receive further funding from Leeds Community Foundation.

The Leeds Fund Micro Grants programme opens for applications four times each year, in January, April, July and October.
